Ormoc CDRRMO Joins Regional Rescue Jamboree in Baybay City as Part of National Disaster Resilience Month 2025
Baybay City, Leyte, July 14–18, 2025 — The Ormoc City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) Rescue team has just participated in the Regional Rescue Jamboree (RRJ) 2025 in Baybay City, an event held as a highlight of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2025.
The RRJ 2025—a week‑long assembly of dedicated rescue professionals, first responders, and disaster‑preparedness enthusiasts—featured dynamic and intensive activities including lecture series, skills demonstrations, and practical drills.
The participation of Ormoc’s CDRRMO Rescue underscores Ormoc City’s commitment to strengthening disaster response capabilities and building resilience among communities. Their presence in Baybay City allowed them to engage in knowledge exchange and hands‑on training alongside other regional rescue teams.
The event is one of the flagship activities during Disaster Resilience Month, observed each July across the country to reinforce public awareness and institutional readiness for emergencies.
