Ormoc City DRRM Office Participates in MCI Simulation Exercise – April 4, 2025

On April 4, 2025, the Ormoc City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) actively participated in a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) simulation exercise held in coordination with local emergency response units, hospitals, and public safety agencies. The simulation aimed to enhance preparedness and coordination among first responders in handling large-scale emergency scenarios involving multiple casualties.

The Ormoc CDRRM Office deployed its Incident Management Team (IMT), medical responders, and logistics personnel to the simulation site. Their involvement included setting up a triage area, managing emergency communication lines, and providing immediate first aid and transport coordination for simulated victims. The exercise also tested the efficiency of resource mobilization, inter-agency coordination, and the application of emergency response protocols under time-sensitive and high-pressure conditions.

The MCI drill provided an opportunity for the DRRM Office to assess operational readiness, identify areas for improvement, and reinforce teamwork across agencies. Through this simulation, the Ormoc CDRRM Office reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety and resilience of the community in times of crisis.

The City Government of Ormoc, through its CDRRM Office, continues to uphold a proactive stance in disaster risk reduction, emergency response training, and community resilience initiatives.
